The pores of the skin are tiny holes present on the skin surface that help in taking out waste products like sweat and excess salt from the skin.

The pores also serve as channels through which the sebum (skin oil) produced by the sebaceous gland is transported to the skin surface where it then acts as a lubricant that prevents the cracking of the skin during a hot and dry weather condition.

But when these pores are blocked either by dirt, sebum or even by dead skin cells, they, therefore, find it hard to perform their normal functions. This in turn can result in acne as well as other skin conditions.

The health condition of the skin gets worse from day to day when the pores of the skin are clogged.
